God’s Taste Part 1

He Tasted Death for Us

The one thing I have been told that all men must do is pay taxes and die.  According to many theorist and Martin Luther King Jr. this is the Greatest Common Factor.  Many have sought ways to avoid the taste of death.  Men have tried to find the fountain of youth.  They have fought to stay healthy, did magic tricks, taken all types of medicine and popped all kinds of pills.  Yet and still the bible says that death reigned from Adam to Moses even after those who did not sin after the similitude of Adams transgression.  Jesus the son of El ELyon was willing to taste death for us so that we did not have to.

Acquainted with our Feelings

Carrying burdens is the Lords responsibility.  He was acquainted with grief and a man of sorrows.  He picked up the burdens of His people.  He was acquainted with their suffering and their inner pain.  He knew what was in man.  He could see by the Spirit what was in mankind.  These burdens that Jesus became acquainted with He would release to the Father each and every day like a high priest that carried the names of Israel on his shoulders before the presence of God.  Jesus would do this when he retreated to a mountain in the high places.  There alone the most intimate fellowship took place.  Christ knew people intimately and why they committed sins or acts of aggression.  He knew their hurts and despair.  He saw them as the Father saw them because he had his Father’s eyes.  He had his father’s hearing, feeling and smell.  He even had his father’s taste.  Jesus could taste the pain of others and it was bad.  Yet Christ always saw the potential in others.  Like a chef realizing the potential for an unfinished dish.  Christ could see the end result if He just added the right ingredients.  Christ would add a little love here, a little compassion here, some healing here and some prophetic declaration.  Christ was able to see and hear because of He had the diet of the Father.

Isaiah 7  Butter and honey shall eat that he may know to choose the good.
